For this cruise we have carefully selected the ship ' LE R/V ANGKOR PANDAW '.

This small vessel, built in a Saigon shipyard in 2012, allows it to get very close to the banks of the Red River. Its shallow draft enables it to navigate both in Halong Bay and on the Red River and the Lo and Da rivers, where water levels can vary considerably.

Notes:

The price is based on a group of 2 travelers sharing a cabin on the ship.
The programs are for guidance only.

Due to unforeseen circumstances such as tides and weather conditions, the itinerary may be changed during the cruise.

Please note that departures from December to March will follow an alternative route due to flooding. We will be passing through both beautiful rural areas and some more interesting industrial locations. During this period, there are always daily temperature fluctuations, ranging from 7°C to 21°C, with a high probability of foggy weather.

Cruise in Halong Bay (F,M,A)

We spend the morning cruising through Halong Bay . We discover the approximately 1500 limestone islands and the fantastic rock formations, which are 20 million years old.

We'll take a break in the village of Viet Hai to explore the mountain by mountain bike or electric buggy. We'll visit the village with its typical houses and vegetable garden . To get there, we'll take a road that winds through the limestone cliffs, offering breathtaking scenery.

In the afternoon we continue our cruise to Lan Ha Bay , with a visit to a floating house .

Continuation of the cruise in Halong Bay (F,M,A)

Our exploration of Halong Bay continues with a visit to the "Dark and Light" cave . We take a kayak or a small local rowboat to enter what looks like a crater, echoing with the cries of numerous bats. The stalactites are impressive.

In the afternoon, our chef will tell you all about fruit sculpture and the preparation of spring rolls .

We leave Halong Bay to travel down the Kinh Thay River and anchor off Hai Phong .

In the afternoon, we'll take a trip to the Thanh Ha community and stroll through the villages. We'll have the privilege of attending a private water puppet show in the shade of lotus and lilies. This is a typical Vietnamese folk art form that, thanks to its beautiful scenes, will immerse you in history and tradition, even if you don't understand the words.

Following the Red River to the village of Bat Trang (F,M,A)

The day is dedicated to the journey towards Hanoi . En route, we will stop in the village of Bat Trang , famous for its pottery. Before reboarding, we will enjoy a traditional performance of the Lion and Unicorn Dance . Originally from China, this dance has spread throughout Southeast Asia.

6

Hanoi / City tours and walks in Hanoi (F,M,A)

9

Kreuzfahrt zum Schwarzen Fluss (F,M,A)

10

Song Da / Kreuzfahrt nach Hoa Binh (F,M,A)

Known as the site of important battles with the French in 1951 and 1952, Hoa Binh is primarily the home of the Muong ethnic group .

The Hoa Binh Dam on the Black River is the largest hydroelectric power plant in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. We'll take a boat trip on this huge reservoir and visit a local village on the way back.

In the evening we enjoy a traditional dance performance presented by representatives of the tribes living in the hills.

11

Hoa Binh / Disembarkation and return to Hanoi - Departure (F,M)

After breakfast,
we return to land to visit a museum and a typical village where the inhabitants still wear traditional costumes.
