We have carefully selected the sampan ' Song Xanh ' for this cruise .

Designed and built in the style of traditional boats that have sailed in Indochina for centuries, the Song Xanh is the ideal boat for an intimate and relaxing excursion. On board, there are two spacious 15 m² areas furnished with rattan furniture, creating an intimate and relaxing atmosphere.

1 Saigon - Mekong / Cruise from Cai Be to Phu An - Don Hoa Hiep/ Vinh Long/ Sa Dec - Can Tho (M,D)

Meet at your hotel in Saigon around 8:00 AM.
Departure for Cai Be.

Arrival around 10:00 AM. We meet at the private pier in Phu An , a small, typical village in the Delta, about a two-hour drive south of Saigon. We are greeted by our crew with a welcome drink and embarkation, and our 2-day, 1-night excursion on board begins.

Cai Be

Optional visit to a local craft village (coconut candy, popcorn, rice noodles, drying of longans). Travel to the Dong Hoa Hiep district and the town of Sa Dec. The sampan travels through a beautiful canal where you can see some water hyacinth plantations, which are used to make furniture. Between Cai Be and Sa Dec, don't miss the My Thuan Bridge (1,535 m long) spanning the Mekong River.

Visit to a brick factory located along the banks of the Mekong River .

Sat Dec

Due to its numerous canals, the city of Sa Dec is also known as "the little Venice of the East" and was made famous by the writer Marguerite Duras and her novel "The Lover." In fact, we are visiting the home of Huynh Thuy Le , a wealthy Vietnamese businessman of Chinese descent and a lover of the famous novelist. The city is also known for its flowers and bonsai trees .

A walk or bike ride allows us to observe rural life in the rice paddies and fish farms. We see numerous French houses and temples from the last century.

Return to the boat for lunch.

Drive to Can Tho . Visit to the Cao Dai Temple (Caodaism religion) and an old house from the early 19th century , where a candlelit dinner awaits us.

After dinner, the cruise continues for another hour to approach Can Tho.

Overnight stay on board the Song Xanh.

2 Can Tho / Cai Rang floating market, sightseeing, disembarkation and return to Saigon (F,M)

A good breakfast is served to us on board around 7:00 am.

Afterwards, a visit to the Cai Rang floating market , which gathers a large number of sampans laden with fruits, vegetables, handicrafts, and other goods. It is probably the busiest floating market in Vietnam.

A stroll through the canals in the shade of coconut palms. We discover houses on stilts and cross orchards full of tropical fruits.

Our cruise ends around 10 am at Ninh Kieu Pier after a visit to the local market in Can Tho.

Return to Saigon by private car.
Transfer to your hotel in Saigon.
