Arrival in Hanoi – first discoveries and walks (A)

Arrival at Hanoi Airport. Welcome and reception by our tour guide .

Hanoi, the thousand-year-old capital of Vietnam, has retained the charm of the French colonial era. It is undoubtedly the most charming city in Vietnam, retaining its authentic character with its wide, shady avenues, numerous lakes, and well-tended gardens. The name Hanoi means "the city beyond the river."

Depending on your arrival time, you will take walks and sightseeing tours in the city of Hanoi for initial discoveries:

The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex , which dominates Ba Dinh Square, and his stilt house, to better understand the humble life of a great man.

The famous One Pillar Pagoda , known for its original construction, is associated with an interesting legend from the 11th century.

A visit to the Temple of Literature , dedicated to Confucius and his disciples. A visit to the first university will give us a better understanding of Vietnam's feudal education system.

We visit the Jade Mountain Temple in the middle of the Lake of the Restored Sword ; the giant tortoise in this temple tells us the legend of the lake from the 15th century onwards.

Welcome dinner at a local restaurant featuring regional specialties . Overnight stay in Hanoi.

Hanoi – Ninh Binh (Dry Halong Bay) (F,M,A)

After breakfast, departure for Ninh Binh .

Ninh Binh in the Red River Delta. Located southeast of Hanoi, the province of Ninh Binh is the southernmost point of Southeast Asia's karst plateau… It is also the place in Vietnam where these rocks are most impressive, earning it the name "The Dry Halong Bay".

Arrival, visit to the temples dedicated to the kings of the Dinh and Le dynasties , and then the drive through the beautiful peaks to the village of Tho Ha .

Lunch featuring local specialties in a stilt restaurant amidst the rice fields.

In the afternoon, we'll take a sampan ride to visit the Thung Nham caves, formed by erosion and still untouched by mass tourism. We'll also visit the Thien Ha (Galaxy) cave in the mountain.

Continuing the walk to the Tam Coc Bich Dong area , where we will take a beautiful bike ride to discover authentic and beautiful villages.

Visit to the Bich Dong Pagoda (Jade Cave and its 3 temples from the 17th century), we have a panoramic view of this fairytale region.

Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Ninh Binh – Halong Bay (B,L,D)

After breakfast at the hotel, departure for Halong Bay .

Stops along the way to take photos of the farmers of the Red River Delta planting (or harvesting) rice.

The legendary Halong Bay, whose name means "descending dragon," is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This magical place, considered the "eighth wonder of the world," is a vast geological museum. Covering an area of ​​approximately 1,500 square kilometers, over two thousand islands, islets, and diverse karst reefs, dotted with caves, delight tourists.

Ankunft in Hue – Besichtigungen/Spaziergänge (F,M,A)

Ankunft in Hue gegen 08:30 Uhr, Empfang durch das lokale Team und Transfer zum Hotel zum Frühstück, bevor Sie die Stadt Hue mit den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten besuchen: die Kaiserstadt mit ihren 3 Umfriedungen: Zitadelle, Kaiserstadt und Verbotene Purpurstadt.

Hue – Wolkenpass – Hoi An/Besichtigungen (F,M,A)

Ankunft in Hoi An, Besuch der Altstadt von Hoi An mit einigen besonderen Monumenten von Hoi An:

Ein altes und traditionelles Haus, die japanische überdachte Pagodenbrücke, ein Haus der chinesischen Kongregation Phu Kien.

Hoi An: Als ehemals wichtigste Hafenstadt Vietnams, früher Faifo genannt, war Hoi An im 17. und 18. Jahrhundert sehr belebt, da Chinesen und Japaner dort ihre Viertel hatten. Hier legten auch die ersten Händler aus Portugal, Holland, England und Frankreich an. Diese charmante Stadt verzaubert Reisende mit ihrem ruhigen Leben, ihrer Architektur und dem authentischen Leben der Menschen. Derzeit ist Hoi An auch ein bekannter Badeort mit seinen schönen Stränden An Bang und Cua Dai.

Hoi An – Spaziergänge – Danang Flug nach Saigon (F,M,A) Inlandsflug gegen 16:00 Uhr

Saigon – My Tho – Mekong – Saigon (F/M)

Auf dem Weg nach My Tho prägt ein riesiges Netz von Tausenden von Kanälen das Leben im Mekong-Delta, der größten Reiskammer Vietnams.

Der Mekong teilt sich im Süden Vietnams in 9 große Flüsse und bildet ein Delta von über 100 Kilometern. Die feuchten und jedes Jahr überschwemmten Böden produzieren eine üppige und vielfältige Vegetation… Das Delta ist riesig und lässt sich durch den Besuch mehrerer Orte entdecken… durch Spaziergänge auf Flüssen, Kanälen, den Besuch von Inseln, die Entdeckung des lokalen Lebens und vor allem… durch den Besuch der schwimmenden Märkte.

Wir befinden uns inmitten des Grüns der Felder und Obstgärten des Deltas, der riesigen Reisfelder, die mit Lotusteichen übersät sind.

Saigon / Sightseeing – Departure (F,M)

Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) is often seen as the counterpart to "Hanoi, the traditional city," as this economic metropolis embodies Vietnamese modernity and the hope of overcoming the country's economic fallout after the various wars. Located in the heart of Cochinchina in the Mekong Delta, it is also the largest city with a population of over 14 million.

Depending on the departure time of your return flight, you will have time for sightseeing and exploration in the city of Saigon with its two main districts:

Chinatown (Cho Lon) with the Thien Hau Pagoda of the Heavenly Lady, the Binh Tay Central Market and then a visit to the Ngoc Hoang Pagoda (Jade Emperor).

Lunch in the colonial quarter and exploration of this beautiful western district with the main post office, built in the pure French style by Gustave Eiffel, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Grand Theatre and the City Hall with original French architecture, a pleasant walk along the Rue d'Ex-catinat and concluding with a visit to the lacquer factory or a visit to the Ben Thanh Market for comparison with the Binh Tay Market.

Transfer to the airport for the return flight.
