Lao Cai early arrival – Sapa / Walk to the ethnic village of Cat Cat (F,M)

Early morning arrival at Lao Cai train station,
followed by a welcome and transfer to Sapa . How can one not be enchanted by the terraced rice paddies hidden behind the morning clouds?

Situated at an altitude of 1,650 meters and blessed with a temperate climate, Sapa was a former resort town founded by the French in the region of Mount Fan Si Pan (3,143m – this mountain is considered the roof of Indochina). Lao Cai's main attraction is its mosaic of minority groups: H'mong, Red Yao, Tay, Dzay, Safo …

Relaxation at the hotel and lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon , we hike to Cat Cat , the village of the Black H'mong . The walk takes us to the waterfall in the middle of the village; our first encounters with the H'mong will create unforgettable memories. We return to Sapa by motorbike .

Dinner at your leisure and overnight stay at the hotel.

Sapa / Discovery, sightseeing and walks: Ham Rong Mountain, Muong Hoa Valley with villages and rice terraces (B,L,D) ~ 6 hours hiking

Breakfast.
Meet at 8:30 am and depart for a visit to Sapa's daily market , where ethnic groups exchange agricultural products or sell their traditional costumes, meticulously handcrafted by the women.
It's also a favorite spot for young couples.
Afterwards, we'll ascend Ham Rong Mountain (Dragon Pine), where we'll have the opportunity to take stunning photos of the region. An interesting walk will then lead us to the theater, where we'll have the chance to attend a dance performance by Sapa's five ethnic groups .

In the afternoon, we'll take a walk to the villages of the Black H'mong in Lao Chai and the Dzay in Ta Van , where we can explore the unique cultures of each ethnic group at our leisure. Spending

the night with the Dzay will allow us to experience the way of life of this ethnic group of approximately 38,000 people.

Ethnic Village / Hike in the ethnic villages Giang Ta Chai – Ban Ho (F,M,A) ~ 6 hours hike

After breakfast prepared by our local guide,
we continue our trek to Giang Ta Chai, the village of the Red Yao people . In the village center, we meet and chat with hospitable villagers. We take time to admire the authentic scenery of the Muong Hoa Valley . Picnic lunch amidst nature.

Am Nachmittag überqueren wir die Hängebrücke, um weiter nach Su Pan, dem Dorf der Schwarzen H'mong, zu gehen, von wo aus wir in Richtung Ban Ho, dem Dorf der Tays, absteigen.

Voraussichtliche Ankunft am Dorfeingang bei Sonnenuntergang. Heute Abend entdecken wir das Leben dieser Ethnie, eine gute Gelegenheit, die vietnamesische Küche kennenzulernen, zögern Sie nicht, sich uns anzuschließen.
Abendessen und Übernachtung bei den Tays, das Haus steht auf Stelzen.

Ban Ho / Wanderung nach Muong Khuong – Cao Son (F,M,A) ~ 4 Stunden Wanderung

Nach dem morgendlichen Abschied von der Familie der Tays,
fahren wir zum Dorfeingang von Ban Ho, wo unser Bus auf uns wartet, um uns nach Sapa zurückzubringen und dann weiter nach Cao Son zu fahren. Wir machen einen kleinen Abstecher zum Dorf Ta Phin, wo wir die alten Traditionen der Roten Yao entdecken werden.

Halt an der chinesisch-vietnamesischen Grenze, um den Zusammenfluss des Roten Flusses, der zu Vietnam gehört, und des Nam Thi Flusses, der zu China gehört, zu sehen.

Dann fahren wir weiter nach Muong Khuong und Cao Son, wo wir am Ende des Tages ankommen.
Abendessen und Übernachtung bei Einheimischen.

Cao Son / Wanderung nach – Coc Ly und Bac Ha (F,M,A) ~ 5 Stunden Wanderung

Nach dem Frühstück,
schlendern wir durch das Dorf Cao Son, um das Leben der H'mong dieser Region besser kennenzulernen, dann setzen wir unsere Wanderung nach Coc Ly fort (wenn wir das Glück haben, an einem Dienstag dort zu sein, haben wir die Gelegenheit, den wunderschönen farbenfrohen Markt der H'mong zu sehen).
Picknick-Mittagessen unterwegs.

Ein Bus erwartet uns und bringt uns nach Bac Ha, dem zweitgrößten Bezirk der Bergprovinz und Grenzgebiet zu China.
Es ist auch das Siedlungsgebiet mehrerer ethnischer Minderheiten und vor allem kann man den größten bunten Markt 5 km von der chinesischen Grenze entfernt sehen und daran teilnehmen – ein Jahrmarkt, der jeden Sonntag stattfindet.

Bac Ha / Wanderung – Nam Kha (F,M,A) ~ 6 Stunden Wanderung

Nach dem Frühstück,
setzen wir die Wanderung zu den Dörfern rund um Bac Ha fort, wo wir Blumen-H'mong, Tay, Zay .... treffen.

Mittagessen in einem Haus auf Stelzen und wir fahren weiter in Richtung des Dorfes Nam Kha, das wir gegen Ende des Tages erreichen werden.
Abendessen und Übernachtung bei einer Dzay-Familie.

Nam Kha / Wanderung – Lao Cai und Nachtzug nach Hanoi (F,M)

Enjoy breakfast prepared by our local guide,
then continue our hike to the town of Bac Ha for lunch, where our bus will be waiting to take us to Trung Do village for a pleasant walk through the village.
Enjoy an excursion for a cruise on the Chay River before returning to Lao Cai .

Dinner is at your leisure, followed by an overnight train ride to Hanoi.
