Arrival in Hanoi – Walks/Relaxation (A)

Arrival at Hanoi airport, where you will be met by our tour guide who will take you directly to the city center to see the first sights of the capital.

Depending on your arrival time, you will visit various sites or stroll through Hanoi's Old Quarter to experience the daily life of Hanoians up close and take photos of the vibrant atmosphere of this famous district. Transfer and check-in at the hotel. Free time for relaxation or personal exploration.

Hanoi – City tour (F/M/A)

After breakfast, the day is dedicated to sightseeing and walks in Hanoi:
You will begin with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex , which dominates Ba Dinh Square, and his stilt house , to better understand the life of a great man whose life was very modest.

Directly behind it you will discover the One Pillar Pagoda , famous for its original design, which is associated with a legend from the 11th century.

Afterwards, you will visit the Temple of Literature , dedicated to Confucius and his disciples. As Vietnam's first university, it testifies to the feudal education system of Vietnam.

In the afternoon, a visit to the Ethnographic Museum will give you a comprehensive insight into Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups. And how can you resist a rickshaw ride through the Old Quarter and its charming little shopping streets?

At the end of the day, you will conclude your explorations with the Jade Mountain Temple , which sits enthroned in the middle of Hoan Kiem Lake .

In the evening you will attend the water puppet show , a typical folk art created by a monk.

Dinner at a local restaurant before transferring to the train station for the night train to Lao Cai . Overnight on the train.

Lao Cai – Bac Ha – Ta Van Chu (B/L/D) – 4 hour hike

Arrival in Lao Cai . After breakfast at a local restaurant , you will be met by your driver , who will transfer you to Bac Ha .
The drive takes approximately two hours. You will then be transferred to the ethnic market (the festival takes place once a week) and, depending on the day of your arrival, will visit either Bien Phiet (Monday morning), Coc Ly (Tuesday morning ), Lung Khau Nhin (Wednesday morning), Cao Son (Thursday morning), Cho Dau (Friday morning), Can Cau (Saturday morning), or Bac Ha (Sunday morning).
Enjoy a visit to the vibrant and colorful market and lunch at a local restaurant .
In the early afternoon, depart for a leisurely walk to the village of Ta Van Chu .
Except on Sundays, this is a longer hike where you will meet the Flower Hmong and Tay people.

Dinner and overnight stay at a local family-run guesthouse.

Ta Van Chu – Thai Giang Pho – Ngai Phong Tro (B/L/D) ~ 5 – 6 hours hike

Nach dem Frühstück, geht die Wanderung weiter inmitten der Reisterrassen.
Picknick-Mittagessen unterwegs, dann am Nachmittag geht es weiter auf verschlungenen Pfaden, die Sie in verschiedene Täler führen.

Abendessen und Übernachtung bei Einheimischen.

Thai Giang Pho – Nalo (F/M/A) ~ 5 – 6 Stunden Wanderung

Nachdem Sie sich von Ihren Gastgebern verabschiedet haben, brechen Sie zu einem langen und wunderschönen Tag auf, immer inmitten der Reisfelder. Entdeckung der verschiedenen Kulturen der Region.
Picknick-Mittagessen und Fortsetzung der Wanderung auf kleinen Pfaden, die zum Grund eines Tals führen, wo die Tay leben, deren Besonderheit es ist, ihre Häuser auf Stelzen zu bauen. Abendessen und Übernachtung bei Einheimischen.

Nalo – Trung Do – Bootsfahrt auf dem Chay-Fluss – Lao Cai – Nachtzug nach Hanoi (F/M/A) ~ 4-5 Stunden Wanderung

Nach dem Frühstück brechen Sie zu einer schönen Wanderung inmitten der Berge auf. Picknick-Mittagessen im Freien.

Am Nachmittag begeben Sie sich auf eine Kreuzfahrt auf dem Chay-Fluss.
Nach etwa 1,5 Stunden Bootsfahrt gehen Sie an Land.
Ein Auto wird Sie nach Lao Cai zurückbringen. Unterwegs besuchen Sie grüne Teehügel und machen auch einen kleinen Abstecher, um einen Blick auf die chinesisch-vietnamesische Grenze zu werfen. Abendessen in einem Restaurant und Übernachtung im Zug.

Hanoi - Hon Gai – Bai Tu Long – Thien Canh Son - Cong Do (F/M/A)

7:45 AM: Departure for Halong City – the eighth wonder of the world, with its limestone islands stretching across 1,500 km².
12:00 – 12:15 PM: Arrival at Hon Gai Pier (Vinashin) . Relax at the Phu Dong Restaurant while waiting to board the junk.
12:30 PM: Embarkation on the junk.
12:45 – 1:30 PM: Welcome cocktail and tour briefing by the junk captain. Check-in to your cabin.
1:30 – 2:30 PM: Enjoy lunch on board the junk as it cruises through stunning natural scenery.
3:00 PM: The cruise continues to the hidden Thien Canh Son Cave in Bai Tu Long Bay , also known as Co Cave . Time to relax, stroll along the beach, or take photos on Hon Co Island.
4:00 PM: Return to the junk. Enjoy a cup of tea before participating in water sports : swimming or kayaking.
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: A short cooking class – the junk's chef will show you how to prepare nem (spring rolls) and carve fruits and flowers to decorate dishes. Admire the beautiful scenery of the bay at dusk…
7:30 PM: A barbecue dinner is served on board the junk.
9:00 PM: Time to relax : movie, games, night fishing. Admire the enchanting beauty of Bai Tu Long Bay in the evening.

Overnight stay on board the 3* junk (private deluxe room)

Continuation of the cruise - Hanoi - Departure from Hanoi (F/M)

6:30 a.m.: You wake up in the middle of the bay. Tai Chi class on the junk's deck.
7:00 a.m.: Breakfast in the restaurant while admiring the sunrise over the bay.
7:45 a.m.: Visit to the floating village of Vung Vieng by bamboo sampan . Discover fish farming.
9:00 a.m.: Return to the junk.
9:30 a.m.: Check-out time.
10:00–11:00 a.m.: Lunch is served on board the junk .
11:30 a.m.: Arrival at the pier. Say goodbye to the junk crew. Disembarkation.
12:30 p.m.: Departure for Hanoi. Arrival in Hanoi in the late afternoon.
