Hanoi / Arrival (D)
Arrival at Hanoi Airport, where you will be welcomed by our guide. Transfer to the city centre of the capital.
Depending on your arrival time, you will have time to discover various sites or stroll through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, famous for its 36 guild streets.
Transfer to and check-in at the hotel. Free time.
Welcome dinner and overnight in Hanoi.

Hanoi – City Tour (B/L/D)
After breakfast, spend a full day exploring the heart of Hanoi:
Begin with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the stilt house where this major figure in contemporary Vietnamese history once lived.
Behind it stands the One Pillar Pagoda, with its unique lotus-shaped design. Walk through the crowds to reach the Temple of Literature, dedicated to Confucius and his disciples. Many students come here to celebrate their graduation and take photographs with their classmates!
In the afternoon, discover the richness and diversity of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups, showcased at the Museum of Ethnology.
Do not miss a cyclo ride through the Old Quarter and its small shopping streets—a guaranteed change of scenery!
At the end of the day, visit the Jade Temple in the middle of Hoan Kiem Lake, where you will discover the legend of the lake’s origin, dating back to the 15th century.
Enjoy a magical evening with a water puppet show, a popular traditional art form in Vietnam.
Dinner at a local restaurant before the transfer to the railway station for the overnight train to Lao Cai.

Lao Cai – Sapa – Ma Tra – Lu Khau – Ta Phin (B/L/D)
Upon arrival in Lao Cai, you will be welcomed by the driver and have breakfast at a local restaurant before travelling to Sapa. From there, hike through the terraced rice fields of the Ma Tra and Ta Phin valleys. This exceptional yet accessible trek offers a unique opportunity to discover the richness of Dao culture.
Your hosts, a Dao family, will welcome you into their home and provide accommodation and meals.
After dinner, you may enjoy a soothing traditional Dao herbal bath.

Can Ho – Phin Ho – Suoi Thau (B/L/D)
On this second day, follow the trails of northern Vietnam through remote regions that have preserved their authenticity.
It will be a long but not overly difficult day, except when the paths become slippery due to rain.
Meals and overnight in the Dao village of Suoi Thau.

Kim Ngan – Ta Giang Phin (B/L/D)
Depart in the morning for another day of walking surrounded by nature!
Magnificent mountain scenery will accompany you throughout the journey.
Arrival at the small village of Ta Giang Phin in the afternoon.
Accommodation and meals at a guesthouse run by the village mayor

Phin Ho – Nam Pung (B/L/D)
After breakfast, set off once again through the terraced rice fields towards the Ha Nhi villages and Nam Pung.
Cross several rivers, with the opportunity to swim if weather conditions permit.
Arrival in the village in the afternoon.
Dinner and overnight with a Ha Nhi family.

Pa Cheo – Muong Hum – Lao Cai – Ha Noi (B/L/D)
Enjoy an easy walk in the morning, passing through authentic villages that remain untouched by mass tourism.
Ideally, your schedule should allow this final day to fall on a Sunday, when the weekly Muong Hum Market takes place.
Return to Lao Cai by car. Along the way, visit green tea hills and make a short detour to take a look at the Sino-Vietnamese border.
Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight aboard the train to Hanoi.

Ha Noi - Hon Gai – Bai Tu Long – Thien Canh Son - Cong Do (B/L/D)
Departure for Ha Long City and its world-famous bay.
Arrival at Hon Gai Pier (Vinashin). Short break at Phu Dong Restaurant.
Embarkation aboard the junk.
12:45–13:30: Welcome drink and tour briefing by the junk’s guide. Discover your floating room!
13:30–14:30: Lunch aboard the junk while admiring the magnificent natural scenery of this magical bay.
15:00: Arrival at the hidden Thien Canh Son Cave in Bai Tu Long Bay. Relax on the beach.
16:00: Return to the junk. Enjoy a cup of tea before choosing between swimming and kayaking.
18:00–19:00: Join a short cooking class—the junk’s chef will teach you how to make “spring rolls” and carve fruit and flowers to decorate dishes. The bay at dusk is simply magnificent.
19:30: A barbecue dinner is served aboard the junk.
21:00: Take time to relax with a film, games or night fishing in Bai Tu Long Bay.
Overnight aboard a shared 3-star junk in a private Deluxe room.

Cong Do – Vung Vieng fishing village – Hanoi (B/L)
06:30: Tai Chi class upon waking on the junk’s upper deck.
07:00: Breakfast at the restaurant while admiring the sunrise over the bay.
07:45: Discover Vung Vieng Floating Village by bamboo sampan.
09:00: Return to the junk.
09:30: Time to check out of your cabin.
10:00 –11:00: Lunch is served aboard the junk as it returns to the pier.
11:30: Arrival at the pier. Say goodbye to the junk’s crew and disembark.
12:30: Departure for Hanoi. Arrival in Hanoi in the late afternoon.
Direct transfer to the airport for your return flight.
