Luang Prabang Arrival (A)

Upon your arrival you will be met and taken to the hotel.

Luang Prabang has been declared by UNESCO to be the " best preserved city in Southeast Asia ".

The rest of the day is at your leisure. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang – City tour – Pak Ou Caves (B/L)

After breakfast, we enjoy a short guided city tour.

We will visit the Royal Palace Museum , which offers a collection of interesting objects.

We see the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs reaching to the ground, which represents classic Laotian architecture.

Afterwards, we will take a river cruise upstream on the Mekong , which will offer us a panoramic view of the tranquil landscape.

Our first stop is the village of Ban Muangkeo , where we begin a short hike to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves , two interconnected caves where thousands of gilded Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes have been left by pilgrims.

On the way, we stop in the village of Ban Xanghai , where a local rice wine is produced.

On the way, we will also visit Ban Xangkhong, Ban Xienglek, and Ban Nong Xai , small villages known for their silk and saa (jute) weaving for papermaking. We will return to Luang Prabang city and visit a traditional goldsmith's workshop .

Lunch at a local restaurant and dinner at your leisure. Overnight stay in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang – Hmong Experience and Kouang Si Waterfall (F/M)

After breakfast, we visit the local Phousi market , the place all the locals visit, and discover the various goods.

We stop in Ock Pop Tok , a silk weaving center. Here, your guide will give you a tour and explain the weaving process.

Afterwards, we travel to Ban Thinkeo , a Hmong village , and hike with the villagers. The guide explains the Hmong's use of plants. You'll go into the garden to cut vegetables and herbs with the villagers. Upon arrival at the village, you'll learn to prepare some local dishes in a traditional house: lunch will be your shared effort!

Afterwards, the villagers will present a Hmong Khène show and local games . In the afternoon, we will travel to Kouang Si and relax at this beautiful multi-tiered waterfall. We will then return to Luang Prabang at the end of the day .

Luang Prabang – Xiengkhouang (B/L)

Today, after breakfast, we will take a long but beautiful trip around Xiengkhouang .

You can take photos and visit the villages of the mountain tribes .

Upon arrival, we will visit Site 1 of the Plain of Jars , an impressive archaeological site where hundreds of stone jars are scattered across the plateau.

Xiengkhouang – Vientiane (F/M)

Heute Morgen, nach dem Frühstück, haben wir Zeit, den interessanten zentralen Markt von Phonsavan zu besuchen, die Ausstellung und die MAG-Stätte 2 der Ebene der Tonkrüge zu besichtigen, bevor wir einen kurzen Trekking zum malerischen Standort 3 über einen Damm und das Dorf Lao Leum unternehmen.

Anschließend erfolgt der Transfer zum Flughafen für den Kurzflug nach Vientiane.

Bei Ihrer Ankunft werden Sie empfangen und zum Hotel gebracht.

Vientiane – Stadtrundfahrt (F/M)

Heute Morgen, nach dem Frühstück, erkunden wir die Hauptstadt Vientiane, um die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten der Hauptstadt zu besuchen. Wir besuchen den ältesten Vat Sisaket mit Tausenden von Miniatur-Buddha-Statuen und den alten königlichen Tempel Wat Prakeo, der das berühmte Bild des Smaragd-Buddhas beherbergte.

Auf dem Weg zum wertvollen nationalen Erbe von Laos: der berühmten heiligen Struktur von That Luang, haben Sie die Möglichkeit, einige Fotos vom Patuxai-Monument zu machen, das auch als Triumphbogen von Vientiane bekannt ist.

Der letzte Besuch des Tages ist das COPE-Ausstellungszentrum, das einen Überblick über Laos und die großen Probleme gibt, mit denen die Bevölkerung täglich während der Bombardierungen der ländlichen Gebiete während des Vietnamkriegs konfrontiert war.

Vientiane – Pakse – Khone Insel (F/M/A)

Nach dem Frühstück werden Sie heute Morgen früh zum Flughafen gebracht, um den Flug nach Pakse anzutreten.

Am Flughafen werden Sie abgeholt und direkt zu einem privaten traditionellen Boot gebracht, das Sie auf einer 2-stündigen Kreuzfahrt nach Champassak bringt.

Steigen Sie in dieser alten Stadt des Königreichs Champa aus und fahren Sie weiter nach Wat Phou, einer weiteren UNESCO-Weltkulturerbestätte in Laos, die 2002 von der UNESCO anerkannt wurde. Wat Phou ist eine Ruinenstätte, die einst Teil eines Tempels war, der einige Zeit vor Angkor Wat in Siem Reap erbaut wurde. Sie enthält einige der ältesten Khmer-Architekturen, die zwischen dem 7. und 11. Jahrhundert datiert werden.

In the afternoon you will travel to Don Khone , an area of ​​4000 islands which represents the widest point of the Mekong during the rainy season, although the river recedes during the dry months, leaving behind thousands of islands and islets.

This river area is also famous for being home to the endangered Irrawaddy dolphins (freshwater dolphins).

En route, we will stop to visit the ruins of the Khmer temple Oup Mong in Ban Houei Tomo . We will arrive on Khone Island by ferry in the early evening.

Khone Island - Tadlo (F/M/A)

After breakfast you will visit the remains of the French colonial period , the Liphi Waterfalls (Somphanith) and the village of Ban Khone .

Then we will take a boat to Ban Nakasang and then the road that leads to the famous Khone Phapeng Waterfall – the largest waterfall in Southeast Asia, also known as the “Niagara of the East”.

Then we drive up the road to the Bolaven plateau.

Arrival in Tadlo, transfer to the hotel. Lunch and dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Tadlo.

Tad Lo - Pakse (F/M/A)

After breakfast we leave Khong Island and drive across the Bolaven Plateau to Tadlo .

The Bolaven Plateau is known for its cool temperatures. It lies above the valley and features lush forests along a series of spectacular waterfalls.

A journey to the plateau offers a refreshing break and allows you to observe the cultivation of coffee, tea, cardamom, bananas, and other crops along the way. This trip offers visitors the opportunity to hike off the beaten track, discover some lesser-known regions of Laos, and experience the wild beauty of the south. Upon arrival at Tad Lo Waterfall, we will visit the villages of Alak, Esn, and Katu, inhabited by ethnic minority groups .

We travel to Pakse late in the evening . Lunch and dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Pakse.

Pakse – Departure (F)

After breakfast you will have free time to explore the city of Pakse on your own before your departure.
