1 Vientiane Arrival / Sightseeing (A)

Upon your arrival you will be met and taken to the hotel.

Time permitting, we will explore the capital city of Vientiane and visit its main tourist attractions , including the ancient Wat Sisaket with its thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the old royal temple Wat Prakeo , which housed the famous Emerald Buddha image . On our way to the valuable national heritage site of Laos, the renowned and sacred structure of That Luang , you will have the opportunity to take photos of the Patuxai Monument, also known as the Arc de Triomphe of Vientiane.

The last visit of the day is the COPE Exhibition Centre , which summarizes the biggest problems that the population faced daily during the bombing raids on the countryside during the Vietnam War.

Lunch at leisure and dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Vientiane.

2 Vientiane – Oudomxay – Muang La (B/L/D)

Breakfast at the hotel.

After a relaxing morning, you will be taken to the airport for your flight to Oudomxay.

Here we have the opportunity to visit the fascinating Pra Xack Kham temple with its sacred Buddha image. The legendary 400-year-old statues are said to possess many supernatural powers and are highly revered by the local Buddhist faithful.

We'll spend the night in Muang La , which is known for its natural hot springs. No activities are planned for the rest of the day.

You can stroll through the village, relax by the river, treat yourself to a massage at your accommodation, or spend some time in the hot spring.

3 Muang La – 4WD (F/M/A)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Today you will travel by off-road vehicle to discover the Ikho hill and the Hmong tribes .

The journey is truly off the beaten track and offers magnificent views of the mountains along the way.

After arriving in a remote Ikho village, we will learn about the way of life of the inhabitants and the essentials of it, before beginning our 45-minute hike to the Hmong village of Ban Tauser , which is extremely remote and offers magnificent views of the surrounding area.

They return to the station at the end of the day in the off-road vehicle.

4 Muang La – Muang Khua – Nong Khiaw (B/L/D)

This morning we will travel to the river town of Muang Khua and board a private boat for an unforgettable cruise on the Nam Ou River to Nong Khiaw.

This section offers breathtaking karst landscapes and remote villages accessible only by boat. We'll stop to explore a few places before reaching our accommodation in Nong Khiaw in the afternoon .

After check-in, you have the opportunity to take a short bike tour to the nearest cave .

5 Nong Khiaw – Luang Prabang (B/L)

This morning we continue our journey leisurely downstream on the Nam Ou River , enjoying the fresh green of the forests and the scenery.

6 Luang Prabang – Besichtigung (F/M)

Nach dem Frühstück besuchen wir das Königliche Palastmuseum, das eine Reihe interessanter Artefakte beherbergt.

Wir beginnen unseren Rundgang durch einige der schönsten Tempel der Stadt.

Je nach Ihrem Programm kann Ihre Entdeckung den Wat Visoun und den Wat Sene, die ältesten Tempel von Luang Prabang, umfassen.

7 Luang Prabang – Kouang Si Wasserfälle (F/M/A)

Frühes Aufstehen bietet Ihnen die fantastische Gelegenheit, am täglichen Morgenritual der safrangelb gekleideten Mönche teilzunehmen. Sie sammeln Opfergaben von den gläubigen Bewohnern. Diese Prozession ist einzigartig in Laos, dem einzigen buddhistischen Land, das diese Tradition noch bewahrt.

Nach dem Frühstück besuchen wir den lokalen Markt von Phousi, den Ort, den alle Einheimischen besuchen, und Sie entdecken die verschiedenen Waren. Wir halten bei Ock Pop Tock, einem Seidenwebzentrum. Hier führt Sie Ihr Reiseleiter herum und erklärt Ihnen den Prozess des Seidenwebens.

Afterwards, we'll travel to Ban Thinkeo , a Hmong village , and go on a hike with the villagers . Your guide will explain the uses of the Hmong plants. You'll go into the garden to cut vegetables and herbs with the villagers. Once you arrive in the village, you'll learn to cook some local dishes in a traditional house.

Lunch will be the result of your combined efforts!

Afterwards, the villagers will perform a Hmong Khène show and local games for you.

In the afternoon we drive to Kouang Si and relax at this beautiful multi-tiered waterfall.

Here we can also stop to visit the bear rescue center , which does excellent work in rescuing and rehabilitating Asian black bears.

After that, we return to Luang Prabang by land.

Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Luang Prabang.

8 Luang Prabang – Departure
