Local travel agency in Vietnam, how does it work?
- A Business License of TYPIC travel, issued by the Ministry of Planning and Investment: License No: 0106743189
- A professional and special license in Tourism (International Tour Operator) issued by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Called since January 2024 by National Tourism Department), directly under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism: TYPIC travel International Tour Operator License No: 01-817 / TCDL - GPLHQT (VNAT)
Why is it necessary to have these licenses?
Because all these procedures aim to ensure that the travel agency is a real company and has professional competence and sufficient financial capacity to build its travel programs, and for the organization of these trips with services for foreign tourists, with the aim of protecting foreign tourists traveling to Vietnam or to other countries that are part of its destinations.
And because there are still, to this day, many anonymous agencies without this License with just one or more websites offering any product and any price and then disappearing after the tourist's payment.

From 2025, there will be many changes in administrative units in Vietnam, and the agency that follows all these changes has updated its Business License with an adjusted capital of up to 5,000,000 VND (around 200,000 Euros) in deposit.
The update for the change of the administrative headquarters address from July 1, 2025.

You know that to be entitled to sell and organize tourist services (trips or tours) to international travelers, you must have a special license issued by a Vietnamese state organization, and Typic Travel holds an International Tour Operator License under number 01-817/TCDL-GPLHQT (VNAT). This license is issued by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (or called since January 1, 2025, by the National Tourism Department), directly dependent on the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
In accordance with Vietnamese law, Typical Travel Co., Ltd has deposited a financial guarantee of 25,000 € (instead of the required 20,000 €) with Vietcombank and Eximbank Vietnam, two of the largest banks in the country.
This deposit is exclusively intended to ensure Typic Travel's civil liability towards its clients, thus guaranteeing a high level of security and professionalism.
