1 Hanoi arrival - Walks / Rest (D)

Arrival at Noi Bai, Hanoi airport. Your guide will be waiting for you there and will then take you to the city center for your first steps in this city with a thousand-year history.

Your arrival time will determine whether you visit different sites or stroll through the old quarter of Hanoi to get in direct contact with the daily life of Hanoians.

Transfer and check-in at the hotel, then free time. Welcome dinner and overnight in Hanoi.

2 Hanoi - City tour (B/L/D)

After breakfast, it's time for a day of visits and walks!
Start with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum site on Ba Dinh Square, then head to the stilt house that housed this great man whose life was very modest.

An emblem of Hanoi, the One Pillar Pagoda is visited for its original construction and appreciated for its legend dating back to the 11th century.
You will certainly want to escape the urban hustle and bustle... So head to the Temple of Literature dedicated to Confucius and his disciples. This venerable university was the first to be created and trained generations of scholars and civil servants until... 1915!

To discover and familiarize yourself with the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam, you will visit with interest the Museum of Ethnography, the largest and most complete museum.

How about trying an unusual mode of transport? A cyclo-pousse tour in the old quarter and its small shopping streets will allow you to discover the main points of interest of the Vietnamese capital.

At the end of the day, find some calm at the Jade Temple, located in the middle of the Lake of the Restored Sword. The giant turtle of this temple may tell you the legend surrounding the mysteries of the Hanoians' favorite site.

In the evening, let yourself be entertained by the water puppet show, a Vietnamese folk art. Dinner in a local restaurant and overnight at the hotel.

3 Hanoi - Mai Chau - Pom Coong - Ban Lac Villages (B/L/D)

Meet our French-speaking guide team and driver for departure towards the Mai Chau valley with a visit to the beautiful Master Pagoda.

Please bring small practical bags (with mosquito repellent, sun cream, sunglasses, light raincoats) for the 5 days of trekking and leave large suitcases at the hotel.
Lunch at a local restaurant and on the way to Mai Chau with photo stops.

Arrival in Mai Chau valley, walk in the villages around Pom Coong, Ban Lac 1 and 2 to experience the first sensations of life in these ethnic villages.

Dinner and overnight with the White Thai ethnic group

4 Mai Chau - trekking to Hieu village (B/L/D) ~ 5 hours walk

Breakfast at the homestay, then departure for Hieu village. Count 5 hours of trekking crossing other ethnic villages of White Thai and H'mong.

Lunch in Pho Doan before continuing the trek to Hieu village, walk and discover around this village to appreciate daily life.

Dinner and overnight at homestay

5 Hieu and Hin Villages (B/L/D) ~ 5 hours walk

Breakfast at the homestay, then start a day of exploring villages where time seems to have little grip. Meet villagers during their daily activities, such as working in the fields or raising buffaloes.

In the afternoon, you arrive at Hin village, walk around the village or rest

Dinner and overnight in a stilt house with the Thai ethnic group.

6 Hin and Kho Muong Villages (B/L/D) ~ 4h-5h walk

Breakfast at the homestay, then after some walking, we pass into another very steep valley that leads us to the charming village of Pon then we continue towards the village of Kho Muong.

Lunch on the way then walk in a setting of magnificent mountainous landscapes, break before watching and why not, participating in the preparation of the meal.

7 Kho Muong - Hang - Pu Luong Villages (B/L/D) ~ 4h-5h walk

Breakfast at the homestay, departure at 8 am from Ban Hang village towards PaKhaen village along the Pung river.
A magnificent day of hiking in this superb valley away from tourist routes, conducive to meeting Thai ethnic villagers returning from the morning market. Picnic lunch or at the homestay

In the afternoon, head to Hang village located in the middle of Pu Luong park.

Homestay accommodation: dormitory style, simple comfort

8 Pu Luong - Walks - Hanoi (B/L/D) ~ 3 hours walk

Breakfast at the homestay and then 3 hours of walking in the park, after which you have lunch at the homestay in Hang village.
In the afternoon, we take the road back to Hanoi.
Arrival in Hanoi, direct transfer to the hotel for a well-deserved rest

9 Hanoi - Hon Gai – Bai Tu Long – Thien Canh Son - Cong Do (B/L/D)

07.45: Departure for Halong city - who doesn't know it? Forget everything you've read, it's even more beautiful!
12.00 – 12.15: Arrival at Hon Gai pier (Vinashin). A little rest at Phu Dong restaurant while waiting to board the junk boat
2.30: Board the junk boat and welcome drink. Settle into your room.
13.30 – 14.30: Lunch on board the junk boat while it passes through the magnificent landscapes of the magical Halong Bay.
15.00: We reach the hidden cave of Thien Canh Son in Bai Tu Long Bay, the cave is also called Co cave. Relaxation time.
16.00: Return to the junk boat. Enjoy a cup of tea before going canoeing or kayaking: 18.00 – 19.00: A small cooking class given by the junk boat's chef. You will learn all about "spring rolls" and how to carve fruits and flowers to decorate your dishes. Admire the magnificent landscape of the bay at dusk…
19.30: Barbecue dinner is served on board the junk boat.
21:00: relaxation time: movie, games, night fishing. Contemplation of the beauty of Bai Tu Long Bay in the evening.

10 Continuation of the excursion – Cong Do – Vung Vieng fishing village – Hanoi (B/L)

06.30: Wake up in the middle of the bay for a Tai-chi class on the deck.
07.00: Breakfast at the restaurant while admiring the dawn in the bay.
07.45: By bamboo sampan, we visit the inhabitants of the floating village of Vung Vieng. Discovery of aquaculture.
09.00: Return to the junk boat.
09.30: It's time to check out of the room
10.00-11.00: Lunch is served on board
11:30: It's time to say goodbye to the junk boat crew
12.30: Arrival in Ha Noi in the late afternoon.

After collecting your luggage, direct transfer to the airport for your return flight.
