Breakfast, discover Ho Chi Minh City, the economic center of the country: Cochinchina, numerous restaurants and high-end boutiques. Start your visit with the Reunification Palace, one of the most important buildings in the city, former residence of the President of South Vietnam until April 30, 1975, the end of the war against the United States.

The War Remnants Museum, formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes, contains a gallery called 'Requiem', dedicated to Vietnamese people photographed by foreign journalists during the conflict. The exhibition also features old bombings, tanks and rusty cannons of the American army.

In the afternoon, visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and the old Central Post Office (built between 1877 and 1883, it is one of the best examples of French colonial architecture). Every stone used for its construction was imported from France.

The Giac Lam Pagoda: the oldest pagoda in Sài Gòn, dating from 1744. It has 98 pillars, 113 statues and a myriad of mini Buddhas. Don't miss the tree of wandering souls, where people pray for their loved ones by writing their names on papers that they tie to the tree.

Ho Chi Minh City is currently the most modern city in Vietnam and has all the infrastructures of a big city with shopping malls, cinemas, restaurants and nightclubs. Free evening at your leisure.

Arrival, visit a floating market, a beautiful island where local productions such as rice paste making, rice popcorn, coconut candies, and longan drying process are visited. The journey continues along the canals of the Mekong of Dong Hoa Hiep located between Vinh Long island and Cai Be. During this 40-minute cruise you will discover magnificent landscapes along the river and observe the typical rural Mekong Delta life.

Embark on the traditional Junk for a cruise along the Mekong towards Can Tho or Long Xuyen. Meals on board with specialties.

Meet at 08:30 with the local guide for a day of strolls, visits and discovery of this beautiful corner.

A day of visits and discoveries in the suburbs and city of Hoi An:

A bike ride to the authentic villages of the Hoi An suburbs, then a basket boat ride to the water palm arroyos to see fishing activities.

Note that those who do not cycle, you can take a scooter with the driver – this means you sit behind the driver to follow the others cycling in the gardens, rice fields and villages. And you pay the supplement to the driver yourself, around 15 USD

Continuation of the stroll to the villages of Cam Thanh and Tra Que where you will rest at home, and then you will attend a family cooking class.

Lunch with locals.

Relaxation with traditional foot massages, a nap and return to Hoi An to visit historical sites such as old traditional Vietnamese houses, the Chinese congregation house, the Japanese covered bridge (under restoration) in the old quarter.

We will start the visits:
the Temple of Literature dedicated to Confucius and his disciples. This complex was the first Vietnamese University.

the Tran Quoc Pagoda (Buddhism) which means the Pagoda of the Defense of the Country, located on a beautiful peninsula in Ho Tay Lake (West Lake), undoubtedly the most beautiful lake among the lakes in Hanoi city

the Quan Thanh Temple (Taoism), dedicated to the genius of Tran Vu – an important protector of the ancient citadel of Hanoi

These three monumental centers help you better understand the three dominant religions in Vietnam

Lunch during visits

In the afternoon, photos in front of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum which dominates Ba Dinh Square, for the changing of the guard – the essence of political life.

And then a visit to Ho Chi Minh's stilt house, to better understand the life of a great man whose life was very modest.

And then the visit to the One Pillar Pagoda, famous for its original construction born from a legend dating back to the 11th century.

Towards the end of the day, you take a beautiful walk towards Long Bien Bridge (or called Paul Doumer Bridge during the French era) and a look at the "Train Street" area.

Hanoi - Ha Long Bay / cruise and discovery (B,LD)

After breakfast,
Meet at 08:00 Departure for Ha Long Bay

11:30 - 12:00 Check-in at Emeraude Café in Halong City. Enjoy a "Welcome Cocktail" on the upper deck. Start the cruise and the generous brunch buffet served at the restaurant.
Visit Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave, if time permits. Option for kayaking or swimming near Hang Trong anchorage.

Movie night and overnight on board

Ha Long Bay / cruise - Hanoi (B,L)

Participate in Tai Chi exercise on the upper deck and continue the cruise in the bay, then an early buffet lunch at the restaurant before disembarkation and then the road to Hanoi.
