Ancestors worship
The cult of ancestors: it constitutes the oldest religious practice in Vietnam, predating Buddhism and Confucianism. Vietnamese people believe that the souls of their parents survive after death and protect their descendants.

Bonjour,
Je m’appelle Thanh (Emile)…
D’origine vietnamienne, je vis en France depuis 1976, où je suis arrivé à l’âge de 13 ans.
Aujourd’hui, je suis marié, père de trois enfants… et surtout un heureux grand-père de quatre petits-enfants.
Je vis en Charente-Maritime, mais une partie de mon cœur est toujours restée au Vietnam…
Mon retour au pays en 2012 a été un moment profondément émouvant… presque une redécouverte de mes racines.
Depuis, j’y retourne régulièrement (2014, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2023, …) avec toujours le même plaisir… et la même émotion.
Au fil des années, j’ai parcouru le Vietnam du Nord au Sud, en passant par le Centre et les Hauts Plateaux…, au Cambodge et au Laos, ....et j’ai eu la chance d’organiser plusieurs voyages pour des proches et des amis.
Aujourd’hui, c’est avec sincérité et passion que je souhaite vous accompagner à votre tour… pour vous aider à vivre un voyage authentique, simple… et inoubliable.

Buddhism
Vietnamese Buddhism: by far the leading religion in Vietnam. Its origins date back to the 2nd century AD, when it was introduced to Vietnam. Despite their pacifism and hostility to the government of the time, many bonzes were arrested and deported to "re-education" camps after the communist victory in 1975. Several bonzes are still imprisoned today. The repression continues, even if it has softened since the country opened up in 1992...
