The Ao Dai and its genesis
According to legend, the Two Trưng Ladies wore two-panel golden áo dài, with golden parasols, on elephant-back in battles. Afterwards, to honor them, Vietnamese women avoid wearing four-panel dresses instead of two.

Je m’appelle Thanh (Emile)…
D’origine vietnamienne, je vis en France depuis 1976, où je suis arrivé à l’âge de 13 ans.
Aujourd’hui, je suis marié, père de trois enfants… et surtout un heureux grand-père de quatre petits-enfants.
Je vis en Charente-Maritime, mais une partie de mon cœur est toujours restée au Vietnam…
Mon retour au pays en 2012 a été un moment profondément émouvant… presque une redécouverte de mes racines.
Depuis, j’y retourne régulièrement (2014, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2023, …) avec toujours le même plaisir… et la même émotion.
Au fil des années, j’ai parcouru le Vietnam du Nord au Sud, en passant par le Centre et les Hauts Plateaux…, au Cambodge et au Laos, ....et j’ai eu la chance d’organiser plusieurs voyages pour des proches et des amis.
Aujourd’hui, c’est avec sincérité et passion que je souhaite vous accompagner à votre tour… pour vous aider à vivre un voyage authentique, simple… et inoubliable.

The Caodaism

The city of Luang Prabang
Luang Prabang is a city in northern Laos, the current capital of Luang Prabang Province. Luang Prabang was formally the royal capital of Lan Xang (Kingdom of a Million Elephants) from the 14th century to 1946. The effective capital was Vientiane from 1563, then, after the separation of the Kingdom of Luang Prabang and the Kingdom of Vientiane in 1707, the title of capital of Lan Xang was disputed between the two cities.
