Lao Cai arrival – Sapa. strolls and ethnic encounters in the village of Lao Chai, Ta Van - Sapa (B,L)
Early morning arrival at Lao Cai station,
breakfast, then transfer by road to Sapa. The unfolding road offers us a fabulous panorama of terraced rice fields hidden behind the morning clouds.
Perched on a mountainside at some 1650 m altitude near the Chinese border, Sapa is the main tourist destination in the Northwest, especially in terms of landscape beauty (steep valleys, terraced rice cultivation...). Sapa is also surrounded by numerous small villages where different ethnic groups meet, such as the Flower H'mong, the Green Dao, some Tay or even Nung... The local markets alone are well worth a visit!
Rest at the hotel and lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we go for a walk to the villages of the Black H'mong in Lao Chai and the Dzay in Ta Van. A unique and very enriching opportunity to discover the specific cultures of each ethnic group. Return to Sapa.

9
Quang Binh – Hue / cruise on the Perfume River, visits to the ancient capital (B,L)
After breakfast,
Meet at 08:00 and we still follow National Road 1 to Hue. We cross a place of remembrance: the 17th parallel bridge. In 1954, after the defeat of Dien Bien Phu, the Geneva Accords validated the partition of Vietnam and made the Ben Hai river the separation zone between Ho Chi Minh's Vietnam in the north and South Vietnam presided over by Bao Dai. They provided for the withdrawal of French troops. The agreement would not be signed by either South Vietnam or the Americans. We know what happened next: this demarcation line, which was supposed to be temporary, would last for 20 years, until the final outcome of 1975.
We arrive in Hue to go back in time and history: Citadel, inside it, the Imperial City and even inside it, the Forbidden Purple City... Sumptuous palaces, dozens of magnificently crafted gates... Although the complex is still undergoing renovation following the extensive damage caused by the wars, it still magnificently testifies to the magnificence of An Nam! We will extend our discovery with a short one-hour cruise on the Perfume River and dock at the Pagoda of the Celestial Lady.
Return to the city for lunch in a typical restaurant and then discover the city's largest covered market (Cho Dong Ba).
Dinner at leisure and overnight in Hue.
Note that if you are a group of 10 people, we will organize a royal dinner for you as an option.

Hue / visit and discovery of tombs, villages – Hai Van Pass – Da Nang – Hoi An (B,L)
After breakfast at the hotel,
Meet at 08:00 and we set off to discover a village specializing in the family production of incense sticks and conical hats. We continue our journey to the tomb of Emperor Tu Duc. It is perhaps the best known of the royal mausoleums but also the most impressive... The emperor himself designed it and... lived there before supposedly being buried there (The exact location of his burial is unknown).
We resume the road south towards Hoi An, passing the Hai Van Pass. Its reputation is far from usurped: you will discover a breathtaking panorama of the entire Da Nang coastline. Da Nang where we will make a detour to admire the art pieces of the Cham culture at the museum dedicated to it. We then continue to Hoi An.
Arrival in Hoi An at the end of the day.
Among one of the oldest ports and trading posts in Southeast Asia, Hoi An has become a charming destination in Central Vietnam. Located on the Thu Bon River, the city enjoys the calm and tranquility of the place to flourish and thrive to the rhythm of a rich local handicraft.

We continue our journey by crossing the Col des Splendides (Ngoan Muc). A stop at the summit will convince you of the origin of its name, as the view there is... splendid!
Descending from the pass, we arrive in Dalat. In the late 1800s, a certain Alexandre Yersin crossed rivers and tropical forests of Vietnam and learned to live in these places. He would settle and remain attached to what was at that time a small fishing village: Nha Trang. It was during this first expedition that he discovered the site and the excellent climate of what would become Da Lat, which he co-founded with Paul Doumer and which takes the ancient name of the Lat tribe. The "city of eternal spring" is now known for its waterfalls, lakes, flower valleys, green meadows, and pine forests.
After lunch, we will visit the Dalat botanical garden, the Valley of Love and Xuan Huong Lake.
Dinner at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Dalat.
16
Da Lat / visits – Sai Gon (B,L)
After breakfast,
Meet at 08:00 and we leave the city of poetry and love, to continue our journey to Ho Chi Minh City. It can be said that this is the most beautiful road of the trip: roses, daisies and all kinds of seasonal flowers decorate the 300 km journey. In the background, coffee, tea, and rubber tree fields compose the tableau of the Central Highlands, both romantic and grandiose.
We will stop at Bao Loc, to give ourselves the opportunity to taste all the regional specialties.
We arrive in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Sai Gon), the economic center of Vietnam. Located in the heart of Cochinchina in the Mekong Delta, it is also the largest metropolis, with a population of over 8 million inhabitants.
