1
Luang Prabang arrival / City tour (L/D)
Arrival at Luang Prabang airport, recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995. Luang Prabang has become a world-renowned tourist destination for its 32 temples built during the French colonial era.
Then, a city tour to discover the various temples: Wat Visoun, Wat Aharm, Wat Mai, and the ascent of Mount Phousi with a panoramic view of the city and the Mekong valley.
In the evening, stroll around the night market where visitors can buy various snacks and appetizers or bargain for mountain clothing or wooden sculptures.
Lunch and dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang – Kouang Si Waterfalls (B/L)
After breakfast, visit the ancient temple of Wat Xieng Thong, the former royal palace, transformed into a national museum, where valuable objects and souvenirs dating from the old regime are exhibited.
Then visit the Phousi vegetable market.
Continue by road to visit the famous Kuangsi waterfalls (35km).
En route, visit the ethnic minority villages: Ban Na Ouane (H'mongs), Ban Ou (Lao Loum) and Ban Thapene (Khmu).
On the way back, we visit the weaving village of Ban Phnom, famous for its remarkable silk fabrics and the tomb of Henri Muhot, the first French explorer. Not to mention the sunset at Wat Siphouthabath Tai.
Lunch at a local restaurant. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang – Nong Khiow – Muang Ngoi (B/L/D)
Breakfast, then head to Nong Khiow along the Nam Ou River.
We pass the H'mong villages in Ban Khok Line, the Lu village in Ban Hat Kho and many others, located all along the Nam Ou River.
Arrival in Nong Khiow, a small town also located on the banks of the Nam Ou, serving as a pleasant stopover for tourists who like to relax in nature.
After a short rest, we embark on a traditional boat to Muang Ngoy (old town). Check-in at a local guesthouse.
Lunch and dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Muang Ngoy.

Muang Ngoi – Ban Kiowkhan (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we begin our 1st day of trekking to Ban Kiow Khan, a village populated by Khmu ethnic minorities, hidden in the tropical forest.
We pass through several ethnic villages where we are sure to receive a warm smile, a sign of welcome.
Lunch at a local restaurant
Arrival in Ban Kiow Khan in the afternoon, after a rest we pay a courtesy visit to the villagers and observe the rhythm of their daily life.
Dinner and accommodation in a village reception house. Overnight in Ban Kiowkhan.

Ban Kiowkhan – Muang Ngoi (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we continue our trek on dirt roads.
Today, the circuit becomes a little more difficult, as we have to climb and descend hills, but the fresh air, the beautiful landscape mixed with the songs of birds and insects make us forget the fatigue. And we finally arrive at Ban Hadsapheui, a small village located on the left bank of the Nam Ou, we take the local boat to Muang Ngoi.
Lunch and dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Muang Ngoy.

Muang Ngoi – Luang Prabang (B/L)
After breakfast, transfer to the pier, then we take a boat trip on the Nam Ou River, one of the important tributaries of the Mekong, until its mouth.
We pass many waterfalls and rapids, fishing villages, located on both sides of the river.
En route we visit the sacred caves of Pak Ou, which open into the cliff face on the bank of the Mekong, at the mouth of the Nam Ou River.
Visit the sanctuary caves of Tham Ting and Tham Poum, housing thousands of Buddha offerings accumulated over the centuries.
Stop at the village of Ban Xang Hai, specialized in rice alcohol distillation and arrival in Luang Prabang at the end of the day.
Transfer to the hotel then free time. Lunch at a local restaurant. Dinner at leisure and overnight at the hotel in Luang Prabang.
