Discovering Langbiang Mountain
In Da Lat, tourists must visit the Langbiang plateau and taste ruou can (a spirit stored in a large jar and drunk with a long bamboo straw), a specialty of the ethnic minorities living in the Central Highlands.
Located about 300 km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City and at an altitude of 1,500 m, Da Lat enjoys a cool climate all year round. A hub for floriculture, the city is also famous for its pine forests and numerous lakes and waterfalls.
Those who love adventure and want to have a fantastic experience should conquer the two highest peaks of the Langbiang plateau: Ong (2,124m) and Ba (2,167m). They can even camp in the middle of the forest if they wish.
Tourists are also invited to experience a family meal with members of the Lach ethnic group who live at the foot of the mountain and learn more about the life and spiritual values of the ethnic minorities of the Central Highlands.
