Arrival, welcome by the French-speaking guide + driver and then direct transfer to the hotel for check-in. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi.

Hanoi - visits (B/L/D)

A day of Hanoi visits with your desired sites such as: the War Museum, the ancient citadel of Hoang Thanh, Hoa Lo Prison.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Departure for a short walk and visit to the village of Bat Trang for ceramics with an explanation of the manufacturing process.
A walk for sunset on the historic Paul Doumer bridge before returning to the hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Hanoi.

Hanoi - surroundings - Lao Cai (B/L/D)

In the morning, departure to visit the ancient laterite village of Duong Lam with a bike ride to discover this magnificent village.
Visit the ancient Mia Pagoda (If you want to buy Vietnamese nougats, this is the place to do it, the small vendor is always in front of the pagoda entrance) and Mong Phu Temple.

Lunch with a local family.

Return to Hanoi with a visit to the silk village of Van Phu and then the village of Chuong for conical hats if you wish.
Arrival in Hanoi, free time and quick dinner at a local restaurant before direct transfer to the station for the night train to Lao Cai.

Overnight on a sleeper train

Lao Cai arrival - Sapa / walks (B/L/D)

Arrival in Lao Cai, welcome by the French-speaking guide + driver on site and then breakfast at a local restaurant in front of the station before heading to Sapa.

You will take the road through Muong Hum (The photographers' road), a road completely off the beaten track...

Along the way, walks in the authentic villages of Ta Giang Phin and Ban Khoang where you will not see foreign tourists because we created this circuit during our last scouting trips in early 2016 by requesting visit authorizations. Picnic lunch.

Arrival in Sapa around 4:00 PM and direct transfer to the hotel for rest. Dinner at the hotel and overnight in Sapa.

Sapa - walks - ethnic villages (B/L/D)

A day of walks (about 5 hours of walking) from the hotel to the beautiful villages of Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai, Ta Van, crossing beautiful landscapes and beautiful terraced rice fields and pretty ethnic houses. Meals and overnight with a local family.

Sapa / walks - Sapa (B/L/D)

Continue the walk to the village of Giang Ta Chai via the bamboo forest and the village waterfall.
Lunch with a local family before returning to Sapa town.

Free time for your personal visits and discoveries in Sapa. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Sapa.

Sapa / walks - Sin Ho (B/L/D)

In the morning, we take the road to Sin Ho, the highest and most authentic district of the new province of Lai Chau.

Stop at Thac Bac waterfall for photos, at the summit of Vietnam's highest pass O Quy Ho for panoramic views of this magnificent pass.
Stop, if possible, for a visit to a village specializing in rice vermicelli production.

Arrival in Sin Ho, visit authentic villages along the road: Ta Phin Village near Sin Ho. Dinner and overnight in Sin Ho.

Sin Ho Market - Dien Bien (B/L/D)

Morning, after breakfast, you will visit the authentic ethnic market of Sin Ho (few tourists) like those of Bac Ha or Can Cau in Lao Cai province.

Visit this market then head to Dien Bien Phu. 162 km, minimum 5 hours 30 minutes drive. Lunch on the way. On the road with stops to visit authentic ethnic villages.

Arrival in Dien Bien Phu, visit the Black Thai village with stilt houses.

We take you through this very beautiful road which allows you to avoid too much driving by prioritizing stops.

Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Dien Bien.

Dien Bien/visits - border gate / Oudom Xay (B/L/D)

In the morning, visit the must-see sites of Dien Bien Phu: Historical Museum, A1 Hill, Cemetery, De Castrie Tunnels and the French War Memorial.

Lunch at a local restaurant and on the way to the Tay Trang border gate.

VISA formalities and then welcome by the Laos team for direct transfer to Oudom Xay (the provincial town of Muang Lay) in Laos.

On the way, short stops to visit the villages of Muang Khuan - Pak Nam Nov.
Oudom Xay is a pretty little Laotian town that you can discover at the end of the day. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Oudom Xay.

Oudom Xay - Luang Prabang (B/L/D)

In the morning, after breakfast, you will travel by road to Luang Prabang with visits and walks in the villages along the way. Lunch en route.

Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, visit the central market and the museum.

Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang - visits (B/L/D)

After breakfast, you will enjoy a day to visit Luang Prabang with the essential sites of your choice.

Lunch at a local restaurant and then continue your visits with the local guide on site. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Cave - Ethnic Villages (B/L/D)

In the morning, depart for a cruise on the Mekong River to visit the Pak Ou cave.

A walk through the ethnic villages along the Mekong to see the artisans (weaving village, noodle village, and rice alcohol village).

Dinner and overnight at a H'mong - Lao homestay. Evening with dance and the Baci ceremony.

Ethnic Villages - Elephant Park (B/L/D)

In the morning, we rejoin the boat and car and then transfer to the elephant park for an elephant ride.

Lunch at a local restaurant and continuation of the ride before returning to Luang Prabang. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang - Kuang Si Waterfall (B/L/D)

In the morning, wake up early for the alms giving ceremony with the monks and then breakfast before departing to visit the Kuang Si waterfall (the most beautiful waterfall in Northern Laos).

Visits to villages along the road and a walk in a reserve to discover brown bears before seeing the waterfall. You can swim there.

Return to the city and then free time for your personal discoveries.
