1

Sai Gon / Arrival (-)

Arrival at Saigon airport.

Free time to rest or enjoy your own activities and first discoveries of the city. Meals at your own expense.

Overnight in Saigon.

Saigon / City Tour (B,L)

After breakfast, meet your guide and driver then begin exploring Saigon:

  • Notre Dame Cathedral, built by French colonists in the late 1880s. It is one of the major Catholic landmarks in predominantly Buddhist Vietnam. Located on Paris Square, it was given the name Notre Dame after the installation of the “Our Lady of Peace” statue in 1959.
  • The Central Post Officethe Opera House and the City Hall with beautiful architectures, remarkable examples of French colonial architecture and among Saigon’s oldest and most iconic buildings.
  • A walk through Cho Lon, Saigon’s Chinatown. Today, countless small family businesses thrive in this lively commercial district. Its richly decorated Chinese pagodas and temples are notably different in style from Vietnamese sanctuaries.
  • Visit Thien Hau Pagoda, dedicated to the protective goddess of ships in Asian belief. A major gathering place for the city’s Chinese community, it is also known as “Chua Ba Cho Lon” because of its location in Cho Lon.

Saigon – Cat Tien National Park (B,L,D)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Meet your English-speaking guide and driver at your hotel.
Depart for an excursion to Cat Tien National Park (170km), the second place where Javan rhinoceros live after Ujung Kulon National Park on Java Island.

Upon arrival at the park, check-in with local authorities. Check into your accommodation.

Lunch at the park restaurant.

After lunch, transfer towards Bau Sau, approximately 10 km from the park center, followed by a 5 km hike to Crocodile Lake.
Opportunity to admire the sunset and sunrise, crocodiles, and water birds.

In the evening, enjoy a mini jeep safari through the forest to listen to wildlife sounds and observe species such as deer, wild boars, rabbits, porcupines and various birds.
Dinner and overnight at the Bau Sau.

Cat Tien / Trekking, Encounters & Discovery (B,L,D)

Breakfast at Bau Sau.

Start the day with the exploration of the Bang Lang forest during a 2km walk.
You can admire the 400-year-old Tung tree, and the Ben Cu Rapids (only 20 minutes of walking).

Then, a private shuttle takes you to the starting point of a roughly 2-hour trek through the jungle.

This hike leads you to Heaven Waterfall, where you may have the opportunity to spot birds and other wildlife as well as several rare species of ancient trees.

Return to the center and enjoy some free time to rest.

Lunch at the park restaurant.

In the afternoon, take a canoe trip on the Dai Nai River which takes you to Tien Island (10 minutes by canoe, 700m walk to the primate rescue center).
Dinner and overnight at the Tourist Center.

Cat Tien / Boat Trip – Saigon (B,L)

Breakfast at the Center.
Meet the team and travel to Ta Lai Village to visit a local ethnic minority community.

Return to the Center for lunch around noon.

In the early afternoon, transfer by private vehicle back to Saigon.
Arrival at your hotel in the late afternoon and free time to rest.

Overnight in Saigon.

Saigon – Mekong Delta / My Tho – Cai Be (B,L,D)

Breakfast at the hotel.
Meet at 8:00 AM for departure to My Tho, located 70km from Ho Chi Minh City

My Tho is the peaceful capital of Tien Giang Province in the heart of the Mekong Delta. Its economy is mainly based on fishing, rice cultivation and fruit production, including coconuts, bananas, mangoes and longans, which thrive in the region’s warm climate.

Upon arrival, enjoy a boat trip through a network of small canals and lush waterways, offering a glimpse into everyday life in rural villages.

Several stops may be included, such as a coconut candy workshop, a bee farm and an orchid garden.

Visit local markets and enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride through areas where fruit and fresh produce are widely sold.

Continue to Cai Be, then walk to your local homestay.

Dinner and overnight at the homestay.

Cai Be – Vinh Long – Sa Dec – Long Xuyen (B,L)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Meet the team and board a small boat to visit Cai Be Floating Market, traditionally one of the major wholesale markets in the southwestern region.

The market takes place on the river, with a wide variety of goods traded from boats.

Continue the cruise towards An Binh Island, where you enjoy a bicycle ride along the island’s paths and dykes, bringing you closer to rural life along the Mekong.

Continue by boat to Vinh Long, with sightseeing along the way and an opportunity to listen to Don Ca Tai Tu, a traditional style of music typical of Southern Vietnam and the Mekong Delta.

Disembark in Vinh Long and continue by road to Sa Dec.

Visit the primary school where Marguerite Duras studied during her childhood.

Walk through small streets lined with old French houses and Chinese temples dating from the previous century.

Visit the former house of Mr. Huynh Thuy Le, built in 1890 and associated with Marguerite Duras’s famous love story.

Continue by road to Long Xuyen.

Overnight in Long Xuyen.

Long Xuyen / Floating Market – Chau Doc (B,L,D)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Take a boat to visit Long Xuyen Floating Market, one of the region’s most authentic floating markets.

On one side of the river are charming houses, while on the other are rice fields and traditional stilt houses.

From dawn, the river comes alive with hundreds of boats filled with all kinds of goods, creating a vibrant mosaic of colors, scents and local activity.

Enjoy a bicycle ride on Tiger Island, followed by lunch with a local family.

Disembark and continue by road to Chau Doc.

Upon arrival, visit Ba Chua Xu Temple, originally built from bamboo and leaves before being reconstructed in 1972.

It is located next to Tay An Pagoda. Every year, from the 23rd to the 26th day of the 4th lunar month, the temple becomes an important pilgrimage site.

Dinner and overnight in Chau Doc.

Chau Doc – Tra Su Forest – Chau Doc (B,L)

Meet your guide and driver and ready for a full day of sightseeing and exploration around Chau Doc.

Travel towards Tra Su Forest, where you enjoy a sampan ride through its impressive flooded forest and waterways.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, on the way back to Chau Doc, enjoy a boat trip to the floating villages of Chau Doc.

Return to Chau Doc for some rest and free time.

Overnight at the same hotel in Chau Doc.

Chau Doc – Ha Tien (B,L)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Depart for Ha Tien, approximately a 2-hour drive along areas close to the Cambodian border.

Upon arrival in Ha Tien, visit Thach Dong Cave, located inside a limestone cliff.

It is also known as Thach Dong Thon Van, meaning the “cloud-swallowing cave,” because in the early morning, mist descends from the top of the cliff and surrounds the cave entrance, creating the impression that the cave is swallowing the clouds.

Continue with a visit to Chau Hang Pagoda, one of Ha Tien’s important attractions located in the famous Hon Chong landscape.

Then visit Da Dung Mountain, a remarkable natural site known for its enchanting scenery.

Free time to enjoy the beach.

Overnight in Ha Tien.

Ha Tien – Phu Quoc by Express Boat (B)

Transfer to Ha Tien pier and board the express boat at around 8:30 AM for Phu Quoc Island.
