The northern part of Annam, called by Trung Bộ in Vietnamese, was the former empire of Annam, the ancient Cham kingdom, which stretched from Thanh Hoa province to Quang Tri currently, a narrow but long part, rich in culture and interesting historical stages to discover when you wish to travel to Vietnam.

Thanh Hoa Province

Pu Luong Nature Reserve - Jungle, terraced rice fields, valleys, waterfalls, stilt houses… it reveals a varied and secret facet that will particularly appeal to trekking enthusiasts.

Lam Kinh Citadel - The homeland of national hero Lê Lợi (1385-1433) and several other famous generals who participated in the Lam Son uprising against the Chinese aggressors of the Ming dynasty.

Cam Luong Mysterious Fish Stream - Thousands of fish in the stream, with various shapes and colors.

Nghệ An Province

President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House - One of the special national relics where objects related to the President's childhood and many souvenirs of his family are exhibited.

Kim Lien Historical Complex - Composed of the birth villages of President Ho Chi Minh's father and mother, the father's house, and the mother's tomb.

King Quang Trung Temple and Quyet Mountain Park - The place where King Quang Trung (1753-1792) wanted to establish the capital, but died suddenly when the Phuong Hoang citadel could not be built according to his will.

Pu Mat National Park - World Biosphere Reserve. The beauty of its landscapes, the incredible richness of its fauna and flora make it an absolutely exceptional site.

Cua Lo Beach - Famous for its white sand and blue water, bordered by a magnificent coast lined with trees, pine forests, and coconut trees.

Cau Cau Tea Islands - With its dozens of tea hills emerging from the waters, Cầu Cau is seen as the "Ha Long Bay" of Nghệ An.

Ha Tinh Province

Thien Cam Beach - Renowned as a tranquil and still wild place.

Dong Loc Intersection - During the war against the Americans, the Dong Loc intersection was the communication gateway between the North and the Ho Chi Minh Trail. A squad of 10 young female volunteers, aged 17 to 22, was responsible for repairing the road to ensure traffic flow. On July 24, 1968, despite repeated bombings, the young volunteers were still there to fill craters and repair the road. At 4:30 PM, during a new raid by American bombers, all 10 young girls died, still holding their hoes and shovels.

Ngang Pass - Annam Gate.

Vu Quang National Park - This park is home to one of the world's rarest bovines, the saola.

Quang Binh Province

Son Doong Cave - The largest cave in the world.

Nhat Le Beach - Considered one of the wildest beaches in Vietnam.

Da Nhay Beach - Da Nhay, meaning "The Jumping Rocks," refers to the geology of this beach where thousands of rocks outcrop into the sea, leaving space for small fine sandy beaches suitable for swimming.

Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park - If you love nature, adventure, hiking, exploring caves, and meeting friendly locals, this is a destination not to be missed.

Thien Duong Cave - Nestled in the limestone mountains of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, a World Natural Heritage site.

Tien Son Cave - Considered the most attractive destination in the center of Quang Binh province.

Tu Lan Cave – It comprises 10 caves discovered since 1992 that have existed for 3 to 5 million years.

Mooc Stream - Known for its brilliant natural landscape with a very diverse ecosystem and interesting activities.

Vung Chua-Dao Yen Tourist Area - The final resting place of General Vo Nguyen Giap, the greatest leader of the Northern army during the war.

Quang Tri Province

Truong Son National Cemetery - This vast cemetery honors the memory of North Vietnamese soldiers killed in the Annamite Range (Truong Son Mountains), along the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

Vinh Moc Tunnels - The Vinh Moc tunnels were primarily shelters for civilians. During the bombings, village life continued underground: children went to school, women gave birth, and families watched movies. The tunnels are an incredible feat of human labor, engineering, and perseverance.

Con Co Island - One of the most beautiful islands in the Central region, with a rich ecosystem and considerable tourism potential.

Sac Tu Pagoda – One of the oldest pagodas in Quang Tri and the only pagoda of the "Bac giao" Buddhist sect - the spiritual symbol of Buddhism.

Thua Thien (Hue) Province

Hai Van Pass (Cloud Pass) - A mountain road that winds up and down along the coast. The views are spectacular and it's an incredibly popular route for people traveling by motorbike in the region.

Thien Mu Pagoda – The tallest religious building in Vietnam.

Ancient Imperial Capital of Hue - This fortress and palace were once the home of the emperors of Vietnam. Also called "the citadel," the palace is surrounded by an impressive moat filled with water lilies.

Perfume River - This river flows through the center of Hue. Many tourists choose to take a boat trip along the river.

Tomb of Tu Duc - Located amidst a pine forest, the Tomb of Tu Duc is the most famous of the tombs in Hue. His eternal resting place possesses poetic beauty and perfect harmony with nature.

Tomb of Khai Dinh - Khai Dinh was an emperor whose tastes were largely influenced by Western culture. Therefore, the architecture of Khai Dinh's tomb is very astonishing and completely different from that chosen by his predecessors.

Tomb of Gia Long - Further from the city of Hue, the Tomb of Gia Long offers visitors its harmonious composition of built architecture with the natural landscape.

Tomb of Minh Mang - On the banks of the Perfume River, this imperial tomb is a perfect combination of natural landscapes and Chinese architectural concepts.
